About the position
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in Reno, Nevada. This role is situated within a fast-paced industry where you will be part of a dynamic team. As a Data Entry Clerk, your primary responsibilities will revolve around order processing and data management using various platforms.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently process customer orders across different platforms.
- Conduct thorough research to address any issues related to the orders.
- Maintain an organized record of customer orders and related data.
- Send out shipping notices as part of order management.
- Import data from the ERP system for order entry.
- Apply strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of data entry.
- Manage customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the EDI team to support order entry to the ERP systems.
- Utilize Microsoft-based tools such as True Commerce, Sage, Excel, and Gmail for email correspondence.
Requirements
- Proficiency in data entry is required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain high level of accuracy
- Familiarity with office software and data programs
- Typing speed and accuracy
- Understanding of data confidentiality principles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a data entry clerk or similar position will be considered an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Good command of English both oral and written
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
