About the position

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining data in computer systems and databases. This role demands high attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency to ensure data integrity and confidentiality. The Data Entry Clerk will be tasked with entering and updating data across various systems, reviewing data for errors and correcting discrepancies, and maintaining organized records. Additionally, the clerk will retrieve data as requested, collaborate with team members and departments to ensure data accuracy, and maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive information. In this position, the Data Entry Clerk will also generate reports and summaries based on the data, as well as provide administrative support through filing, scanning, and other clerical tasks. The role requires a proactive approach to managing data and ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate. The Data Entry Clerk will work closely with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and support the overall goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately input, update, and maintain data in computer systems and databases.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in data entry or related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as photocopiers and scanners.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.
