About the position

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately and efficiently entering, maintaining, and managing data within the organization's systems. This role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail to ensure data integrity and consistency across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Enter information into databases, spreadsheets, or other software systems with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify data for errors or discrepancies and correct as necessary.
  • Maintain and update existing data records.
  • Ensure data consistency and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Organize and categorize data for easy retrieval.
  • Generate reports and summaries as required.
  • Perform data validation and quality control checks.
  • Assist with data-related projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of data entry activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Provide data entry support to other departments as needed.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post-secondary education (certificate or degree) in data entry, computer science, or related field preferred.
  • Typing speed of 40-60 words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and database management.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
