About the position

Mesa Verde Trading is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Fresno, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting, managing, and maintaining data related to our operations, with a focus on entering truck tickets and processing inbound loads. This role is essential to ensuring accurate record-keeping and supporting the smooth operation of our business. The Data Entry Clerk will work closely with other team members to ensure data consistency across different departments and will assist in various administrative tasks as needed. The position requires a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter truck tickets and process data for inbound loads into company databases and software systems.
  • Verify and cross-check data from various sources to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Maintain and organize electronic and paper files to ensure easy retrieval of information.
  • Generate reports and summaries based on data entered, as required by management.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents, presentations, and other materials that require data input.
  • Respond to requests for information and access relevant files as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure data consistency across different departments.
  • Identify and correct any data entry errors, report discrepancies to the relevant department.
  • Support other administrative tasks as needed, including filing, scanning, and document management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in data management, business administration, or related fields is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar role, preferably in an agricultural or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with database management software.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
