About the position

MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center is seeking a dedicated Data Entry Clerk to join our team. This full-time position involves a variety of tasks centered around data management and customer service. The primary responsibilities include collecting and entering data into our database, ensuring that records of Career Center customers, programs, and services are accurate and up-to-date. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for transferring data from paper formats into our database system and filing paperwork after data entry is completed. Additionally, the role requires retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested by staff or management. The Data Entry Clerk will work closely with Career Center staff to ensure a clear understanding of data entry requirements and maintain the confidentiality of all information in compliance with our confidentiality policies. This position also involves making phone calls to employers and job seekers to confirm attendance at events or to gather necessary information. The Data Entry Clerk will create and distribute media materials, including event flyers and information sheets, using appropriate software tools. Posting approved information to our website and social media accounts is also part of the job. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in data entry and computer use, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. This position offers a starting salary of $42,125.40 ($21.52/hr) after a 90-day training period, with annual step increases. Responsibilities

  • Collect and enter data in the database.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of Career Center customers, programs, and service information.
  • Transfer data from paper format into the database system and file paperwork after data entry.
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
  • Work together with Career Center staff to ensure accurate understanding and entry of data.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and data, complying with confidentiality policies.
  • Make phone calls to employers and/or job seekers to confirm attendance at events and/or gather information.
  • Create and distribute media material including event flyers, information sheets, forms, and other general correspondence using appropriate software tools.
  • Post approved information to the website and social media accounts.
  • Interact and maintain good relationships with Career Center staff and management, partner and community agencies, the business community, and the public.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of data entry experience required.
  • 1 year of computer literacy required.
  • 1 year of experience maintaining confidential information preferred.
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Word preferred.
  • Ability to relocate to Greenfield, MA 01301 before starting work.
