About the position
The Data Entry Clerk position at Robert Half is a long-term contract role focused on high-volume data entry within the government sector. The role is based in San Antonio, Texas, and involves supporting senior services and program directors by accurately entering and managing various types of data related to travel, expenses, and invoices.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and swiftly perform data entry tasks related to travel, lodging, meals, and program expenses.
- Handle data entry and coding of invoices, receipts, folios, and credit card transactions.
- Manage data entry and coding of credit card transactions into specific software.
- Oversee data entry and coding of invoices and receipt line items into Microsoft Excel for grant budgeting.
- Carry out data entry of expense report processing.
- Scan and input data of clients' expenses for necessity or gas reimbursement receipts.
- Undertake data entry of purchase requisitions in the accounting system.
- Collaborate with departments and vendors to ensure complete invoices and receipts are entered into the system within a specified timeframe.
- Provide daily administrative support to program directors as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data entry role or similar position
- Proficient in data entry, with the capability to handle high-volume data entry tasks
- Experience with computer data entry and data entry - numeric
- Proven ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and analysis
- Experience in a government setting is preferred, but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
