About the position

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in the construction/contractor industry located in Hudson, New Hampshire. This role will be pivotal in supporting the payroll department through data entry, phone call handling, and overall administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently handle data entry tasks
• Support the payroll department by processing time-sensitive information
• Multitask efficiently to manage various duties simultaneously
• Utilize strong data entry skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
• Communicate via phone calls to assist with inquiries and issues
• Utilize Microsoft Word for document creation and management
• Organize files and documents in a systematic manner
• Handle email correspondence professionally and promptly
• Collaborate in a team environment to ensure smooth operation of the department
• Adapt to a specialized system for data entry tasks.

Requirements

• Proficient in data entry tasks with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle email correspondence professionally and promptly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word to create, edit and format documents.
• Experience in organizing files, both physical and digital, for easy retrieval and reference.
• Familiarity with construction industry terminology and practices is desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is a plus.
