About the position

HT Building Products is seeking a Data Entry Specialist to join our team in the Dallas (Irving area). This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our order processing system. The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for acknowledging purchase orders and notifications in customer portals, verifying order accuracy, and liaising with builders and purchasing departments. The successful candidate will process orders through our systems, Epicor and BizTrack, and provide customer feedback to ensure consistent quality of products and services. Additionally, the role involves handling incoming calls for delivery scheduling, which requires strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Responsibilities

  • Acknowledge purchase orders and notifications in customer portals
  • Verification of order accuracy
  • Liaise with builders and purchasing departments
  • Process orders through Epicor and BizTrack
  • Provide customer feedback to ensure consistent quality of products and services
  • Handle incoming calls for delivery scheduling

Requirements

  • Experience within lumber industry or construction preferred
  • Associate's degree or other relevant business experience
  • Experience with customer service and interaction
  • Understand basic math skills to be used in pricing material, costing orders, and managing inventory stock levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and professionalism at all times
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Possess strong time management skills
  • Not intimidated by social interaction on the phone or in person
