About the position

The Data Entry Clerk position is a short-term contract role within the Healthcare/NHS industry located in Washington, D.C. The primary responsibilities include processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. The role requires strong data entry skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service while managing customer accounts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process customer applications, utilizing 10 Key Skills and data entry capabilities.
  • Organize and maintain customer files, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Provide excellent customer service in resolving inquiries and addressing issues via email correspondence.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to perform calculations and manage data.
  • Efficiently operate a copier for duplicating and preserving documents.
  • Scan documents to digitize the information for better record keeping.
  • Move back and forth within the office to complete tasks as needed.
  • Implement typing skills to expedite data entry tasks.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is necessary.
  • Experience in Data Entry is essential.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills are required.
  • Ability to perform calculations and organize files.
  • Proficient in 10 Key Skills.
  • Strong typing skills are needed.
  • Experience with Email Correspondence is beneficial.
  • Ability to use scanning equipment is important.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Healthcare/NHS industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education level is required.
