About the position

The Data Entry Clerk position is a vital role within the Enterprise Delivery C branch located in Sumter, SC. The primary responsibility of the Data Entry Clerk is to facilitate communication between the production lines and the front office, ensuring that updates, paperwork, and information are accurately relayed. This role requires a candidate who can adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment where multitasking is essential, and priorities may shift throughout the day. The ability to remain calm and effective during stressful situations is crucial for success in this position. In this role, the Data Entry Clerk will work closely with the engineering team, production floor, and purchasing department to manage the ETAs of materials, reschedule orders, and process any necessary cancellations or holds. The clerk will also gather information to update data trackers accurately and run basic reports as needed. Collaboration with Customer Service Representatives is another key aspect of the job, as the clerk will assist the team with various tasks, including responding to emails. Proficiency in computer programs, particularly Microsoft Office products and spreadsheets, is essential for this position. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for entering alpha and numeric data into spreadsheets and/or the mainframe, ensuring that data is transferred accurately from one form to another. This role may also involve some clerical work, requiring the employee to transcribe, interpret, and verify data for correctness. Overall, the Data Entry Clerk plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of information and ensuring that data is handled efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between production lines and front office, providing updates and gathering information.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution with 3 years of experience in customer service/order management OR an Associate's degree in business administration or office administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Basic data analysis and invoicing skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
