About the position

The Salvation Army is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a temporary full-time basis. This role is essential in supporting our Human Resources and Program departments by ensuring that all necessary files are accurately scanned, uploaded, and maintained according to the organization's standards. The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for maintaining program files in compliance with The Salvation Army's minute timelines, which are critical for operational efficiency and adherence to regulatory requirements. In this position, the Data Entry Specialist will scan, upload, and label required program documents, ensuring that all information is organized and easily accessible. The role also involves creating and uploading program files into the ServicePoint system, which will be done following formal training provided by the organization. Maintaining strict confidentiality of all file information is paramount, as the role involves handling sensitive data related to our programs and human resources. The Data Entry Specialist will also support the mission statement of The Salvation Army, which is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Responsibilities

  • Maintain Program files according to TSA minute timelines
  • Scan, upload, and label required Program documents
  • Create and upload Program files in the ServicePoint system following formal training
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all file information
  • Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in data entry and file management
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with scanning and document management software (training will be provided)
