About the position

The Data Entry Specialist position is a long-term temporary role based in Downtown Chicago, IL, specifically within JP Morgan Chase's Receivable Operations Lockbox Department. This position requires onsite work 5-6 days a week during the evening shift, focusing on data input and validation in a high-security production environment. The role emphasizes adherence to standard operating procedures and customer-specific instructions while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inputting and validating data into the system while following standard operating procedures and customer specific instructions for processing
• Validating/reconciling electronic records to paper documentation
• Making judgment calls regarding routine duties but referring non-routine situations to a supervisor and/or manager
• Learning new processing functions and equipment operation in all areas/departments of production as needed
• Maintaining site productivity and quality standards
• Contributing to meeting team accuracy and production goals in addition to individual targets
• Ensuring all customer and bank guidelines are followed as related to operations, internal audit and security, and general practices
• Lifting and moving mail trays weighing up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• A resume with at least 3 years of consistent work experience
• At least 7 years of USA residence history
• Typing speed at 7000 keystrokes-per-hour minimum
• Ability to pass both a background check and credit check
• Willingness to work in a high-security production environment
• Must be a team player able to maintain a positive attitude and flexibility to work in different functions
• Effectively interact with diverse groups within the organization
• Must be able to work on Saturdays as needed - non-negotiable
