About the position

UCX is currently seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all manifests are received, reviewed, and accurately posted into inventory. You will review receipts for accuracy against an inventory receipts listing, report any discrepancies from shipments, and fill all open back orders. Additionally, you will receive all stock transfers from branches into the Baltimore inventory and enter all manifests for inventory that is purchased for the warehouse. This includes scanning barcodes on products and documents using the IWMS system. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with multiple teams within the organization, including Customer Service, Operations, and Marketing. You will also be tasked with matching invoices from vendors to the purchase orders and costs in our system, approving invoices, and sending them to Accounts Payable for payment. This role requires a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills, both written and oral, to ensure smooth operations and accurate inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Assure that all manifests are received, reviewed, and posted into inventory.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to details
  • Data entry and accurate typing skills a must
  • Proven, effective and clear written and oral communication skills
  • Computer skills including Excel, and MSWord, knowledge of Dancik, and internal databases preferred
  • Basic math skills are a must. The ability to convert units of measure is essential
  • Experience in flooring distribution preferred
  • A/P experience a plus
  • Previous inventory experience preferred.
