About the position

The Data Entry / Inventory & Supplies Office Clerk is an entry-level position responsible for managing inventory movement and handling return to vendor merchandise. The role involves answering customer service calls, assisting with inventory cycles, and ensuring timely delivery and accurate inventory of company supplies across all departments. The clerk will also create daily inventory reports, manage supply orders, and support various internal departments as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily inventory reports and create labels.
  • Handle all inventory-related inquiries and questions.
  • Work with the distribution center to balance inventory movement in the computer system.
  • Manage return to vendor merchandise with internal departments and vendors.
  • Order, track, inventory, and distribute supplies to all locations.
  • Source price quotations and prepare purchase requests for supplies.
  • Assist in inventory receiving procedures as needed.
  • Perform physical store inventory cycles when required.
  • Handle operator and customer service level 1 calls.
  • Cross-train with others to provide backup support as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to operate a PC and manage multiple projects effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
