About the position
The Data Entry Operator -- Data Entry Clerk position involves entering and verifying alphanumeric data from various sources into a computer database. This role requires a high level of accuracy and reliability, as the operator will handle complex functions and transactions that demand error-free work. The position is contract-based and offers flexible working hours along with on-site amenities.
Responsibilities
- Enter and verify alphanumeric data from a variety of sources, including paper-based, electronic, and phone, into a computer database.
- Spend 100% of the day on a computer.
- Handle complex functions or transactions, including priority accounts or transactions that require error-free work.
- Resolve problems related to correct data entry procedures, referring unusual problems to the manager as necessary.
- May code, search, extract, and interpret information to determine the correct input procedure.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Data Entry Operator or Data Entry Clerk.
- Must score a minimum of 5000 keystrokes/min with no more than 5 errors (Data Entry Alphanumeric).
- Minimum of 80% in Office Grammar and Spelling.
- Minimum of 80% in Basic Reading Comprehension.
- Must be reliable and accurate.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team as required.
