About The Position

Koniag IT Systems, LLC is seeking a Data Entry Operator II to support KITS and our government customer in Silver Spring, MD. This role involves accurately inputting and maintaining data in various computer systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and quality. The ideal candidate should possess strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a professional office environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of data entry or relevant clerical experience in an IT environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional typing and data entry skills with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy with complex data.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical skills to identify patterns and inconsistencies in data.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or related post-secondary education in computer science or IT.
  • Experience with data entry in a government or military IT environment.
  • Knowledge of data management practices used in the IT industry.
  • Familiarity with data entry quality control procedures.
  • Basic programming or scripting skills for data manipulation.

Responsibilities

  • Entering complex data from various sources into designated computer systems and databases with high accuracy.
  • Verifying the completeness and accuracy of data entered by cross-checking with source materials.
  • Adhering to established data entry procedures and best practices to ensure data quality.
  • Maintaining organized records of data entry activities and generating detailed reports as required.
  • Assisting with clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents.
  • Ensuring data security and confidentiality by following company policies.
  • Providing support in data management and maintenance activities, including data validation and quality control.
  • Collaborating with IT professionals and stakeholders to address data-related issues.
