About the position

The Data Processing Clerk position at Bonner County involves preparing, editing, and submitting assessment rolls, maintaining sales databases, and assisting other departments with data entry tasks. The role requires compliance with Idaho Code and State Tax Commission Rules, and it operates under the supervision of the Data Entry Administrator and Assessor Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and update valuation rolls, occupancy rolls, and parcel master.
  • Input sales data entry, tax numbers, name and address changes.
  • Balance values between July and December.
  • Run reports including annual subdivision lists, queries, data transfers UADWeb to ProVal, and Crystal Reports.
  • Prepare valuation notices and input trends, market adjustment applications, and tax code area changes.
  • Print and pre-sort notices, check and edit lists, and perform backups and reports.
  • Input residential characteristic data and maintain land file-base cost entry.
  • Provide oversight for manufactured housing, including setting up new accounts and preparing mail-outs.
  • Research and evaluate information on homeowners exemptions and establish acreage valuations.
  • Load sales information into UADWeb and prepare sales reports for public and appraisers.

Requirements

  • High school education diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) or more years of job-related data processing or clerical experience required.
  • Basic understanding of general office skills (e.g., typing, filing).
  • Ability to type proficiently at or about 50 wpm using standard keyboards and personal computers.
  • Proficient grammar skills for composing and proofreading documents.
