About the position

The Data Entry Specialist at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the organization's case management systems. This position involves performing clerical tasks, entering data into various databases, and ensuring compliance with documentation requirements. The specialist will support the organization's mission by accurately managing data related to vulnerable populations and contributing to the overall efficiency of the services provided.

Responsibilities

  • Enter all assessments into both Servtracker (IM database) and SAMS or SPURS (Area Agency on Aging database) systems.
  • Enter all Change of Status Forms into both systems.
  • Enter all reassessments into both systems.
  • Assist with the DADS and HMO intake process as needed, including follow-up calls to case managers and inputting client data into both databases.
  • Ensure all paper files for MOW, HMO, DADS, and other clients are maintained in compliance with their appropriate requirements.
  • Create, file, and audit all MOW, HMO, DADS, and client files regularly.
  • Maintain a work pace adequate to keep all computerized and paper records complete and accurate in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with end of month financial closing activities including review of route sheets and meal tickets.
  • Assist with Monthly AAA billing units entry and running Eligibility report of both HMO and DADS clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of data entry experience.
  • Detail-oriented and able to handle repetitive clerical tasks quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Dependable with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency required, including experience using database, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
  • Enjoy working with culturally and ethnically diverse staff, clients, and volunteers.
  • Valid driver's license and current automobile liability insurance.
  • Proficient knowledge of 10-key.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous data entry experience.
