This position is within the Office of Outdoor Recreation - Office of Strategy and Planning under the Bureau of Conservation, and reports to the GIS Manager. The mission of the GIS Program is to empower the Bureau of Parks & Conservation to make smart, data-driven decisions. An employee in this position is responsible for managing the Bureau of Parks & Conservation's geographic information system; producing maps and other deliverables as requested; and contributing to GIS projects including, but not limited to, building custom GIS tools and solutions, and applying spatial analysis.
