As a Data Expert within PNC's Enterprise Data Management organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Chicago, IL or Downers Grove, IL. In this role, you will manage and develop information systems for clients, conducting data information analysis for a variety of studies under the direction of organizational standards. You will develop strategies for data implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery. Your responsibilities will include advising business, applications, and operations counterparts to ensure data integrity and availability. You will also structure the environment and create logical storage units, especially for size and physical locations, to map database elements into logical units. You will implement and support technologies for managing and effectively utilizing multiple information sources, formats, and uses. This includes resolving data integration and security issues for adherence to the organization's quality standards. Additionally, you will research customer needs and conduct awareness and promotional sessions for potential customers. Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role, including a deep understanding of big data development environments such as Hadoop/HDFS, Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, and associated tools, as well as data warehousing environments such as Teradata and Oracle. Strong communication, solution development, documentation, and productive partnership skills with business leaders, analysts, and engineers are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and supports enterprise data technologies for managing and effectively utilizing multiple information sources, formats and uses.
  • Monitors, assesses and summarizes enterprise data processes and tools for optimization and improved data quality/integrity.
  • Advises business, applications and operations counterparts to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Structures the environment and creates logical storage units to map database elements into logical units.
  • Resolves data integration and security issues for adherence to the organization's quality standards.
  • Researches customer needs and conducts awareness and promotional sessions for potential customers.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of big data development environments such as Hadoop/HDFS, Google Cloud, Azure, AWS and associated tools.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing environments such as Teradata, Oracle.
  • Ability to manage the implementation, support and training of enterprise data technical capabilities as part of a product portfolio that serves the user community.
  • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience, with a university/college degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience.
