As a member of the engineering organization at Amplify, you will join a talented team dedicated to tackling the toughest challenges in education using the best ideas in technology. This includes user experience, APIs and services, data analysis, and deployment pipelines. In this role, you will actively contribute to inventing and improving product design and the classroom experience. The Data Governance team at Amplify is responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, security, and consistency of our data through a combination of visibility and controls. We believe in a culture of data enablement, empowering our teams to achieve their objectives through effective data use. Our mission is to encourage users to explore and confidently utilize data, rather than imposing restrictions. We recognize that data has the potential to drive our business, enhance the efficacy of our products, and ultimately transform the lives of teachers and students. To achieve this, the Data Governance team ensures that data is well-defined, discoverable, secure, and of high quality. In this role, you will impress our toughest customers—students—by ensuring that Amplify's data is well-defined, high-quality, and capable of providing trustworthy insights into student experiences across all of Amplify's products, systems, and platforms. You will assist school administrators in building great schools by leveraging high-quality data to enable informed decisions regarding curriculum, resource allocation, and individualized student support. Additionally, you will facilitate important conversations about data challenges, decisions, and strategies, while curating business glossary definitions and physical metadata to clarify data sources and definitions. Continuous learning will be a key aspect of your role as you partner with colleagues to understand Amplify's data needs and seek out innovative industry best practices to strengthen our Data Governance framework.
