About the position

The Data Governance Analyst will serve as the primary compliance contact for the implementation and oversight of Microsoft Purview, a data governance tool. This role involves managing and governing data across various sources, including Microsoft 365 applications and other data types relevant to public health. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring data compliance, cataloging, classification, and providing insights to enhance decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary compliance contact for Microsoft Purview implementation and oversight.
• Implement and oversee electronic searches for documents through eDiscovery platforms.
• Organize and index data assets for easy discovery and understanding.
• Apply labels and tags to data based on sensitivity and regulatory requirements.
• Track the origins, movements, and transformations of data throughout its lifecycle.
• Provide analytical capabilities to derive insights and enhance decision-making.
• Ensure data usage complies with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tools.
• Knowledge of data compliance regulations and standards.
• Strong analytical skills to derive insights from data.
• Experience with eDiscovery processes and platforms.
• Ability to organize and catalog data assets effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with public health data management.
