As a Data Governance Analyst, you will provide support at the corporate level, focusing on centralized data management, primarily customer, vendor, and master data governance/management for our Microsoft D365 ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platform. This role will support the business by providing solutions for maintaining the governance and management of Finance master and reference data, in a hands-on capacity. You will provide guidance and insights to work with data domain owners in the execution of their data-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with financial processes, accounting policies, data strategy, and data management, as well as experience providing support for projects and operations. You will work closely with business owners to ensure master data integrity in key systems and maintain the processes to support data quality. Your contributions will include maintaining centralized customers and vendors for the company within D365 in MDC (Master Data Centralization) following Data Quality principles (Completeness, Uniqueness, Timeliness, Accuracy, Consistency, Validity). You will lead education and training related to data management policies and procedures to business partners, data stewards, and end users. Additionally, you will implement hands-on data management related reporting environment tasks, including data source monitoring, security, and metadata ensuring data integrity. You will support process improvement and ongoing execution of key global processes such as the master data change process, including creation, updates, deletions, and replications of Finance master data. You will analyze weekly and monthly reports for inconsistencies and potential issues, identify, assess, monitor, document, and communicate potential quality issues in the way data is collected, stored, processed, or used. Furthermore, you will deliver testing support for new system improvements and integrations with a high degree of quality, and communicate and network between multi-functional teams to understand new business requirements and the impact on product master data processes and governance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Understanding of finance and accounting terminology and processes.
  • Experience in finance, GL accounting, AR/collections, AP and/or procurement.
  • Understanding of data governance and data management disciplines, practices, and processes.
  • Familiarity with reporting and analytic tools (e.g., Business Objects, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy; focus on quality output.
  • Ability to learn internal software systems/processes.
