About the position

As MISO's Data Governance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing data governance tools and processes, with a focus on metadata management and data quality. This position involves overseeing the metadata repository, supporting data quality initiatives, and facilitating automation efforts to ensure the integrity and accessibility of data assets. You will contribute to shaping MISO's data governance approach by designing and implementing enterprise standards that transform how the organization leverages data for insights and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Managing and enhancing enterprise governance management system (e.g., data glossary, catalog, quality) across the organization.
• Implementing data quality standards and monitoring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
• Collaborating with data practitioners to embed governance processes.
• Maintaining documentation for data governance processes and standards.
• Providing first-level support for data governance tools, including troubleshooting and basic configuration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of relevant hands-on work experience.
• Proven experience managing and enhancing enterprise metadata management systems (data catalogs) and processes integrated into an organization.
• Experience enhancing and optimizing data governance tools and metadata management processes.
• Experience collaborating across areas, embedding data governance into business operations and facilitating data-driven decision making.
