About the position

As an IT Data Governance Analyst at Campbell's, you will apply your analytics mastery to enable data literacy and connect the business community with trusted data assets. Your role will involve clarifying, profiling, and analyzing data and metadata to ensure compliance with data governance standards, making it accessible for end users. You will work closely with business and IT digital partners to profile key data assets and support the development of data fabric/products. Your analytical background and knowledge of the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) business, particularly in Supply Chain Finance, will be essential in articulating complex analytics in practical terms to facilitate adoption and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Business and IT digital partners to profile key data assets from existing reporting platforms.
  • Mentor business team members on data governance principles and apply domain expertise to answer self-service business questions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and support onboarding activities.
  • Enable discoverability of data assets through Campbell's data catalog and marketplace.
  • Analyze data quality checks across data assets to identify patterns and conflicts.
  • Profile data to identify data quality rules and validate quality check output.
  • Enrich data assets with business metadata in Campbell's data catalog according to guidelines and standards.
  • Onboard functional groups on the data catalog and marketplace and identify opportunities for enhancements.
  • Approve data steward content for visibility in the data catalog.

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. in a science or business-related degree such as computer science, engineering, marketing, economics, statistics, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial analytics and knowledge of data warehousing design theory.
  • Proficiency with SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experience with business intelligence technologies, particularly data catalog Power BI, DevOps, Service Now, and Microstrategy.
  • Experience with data catalog and data marketplace, and metadata observability.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of domain data and advanced analytics across all levels of functional business stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with functional business customers at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to test hypotheses and select statistical methods to deliver actionable insights.

Nice-to-haves

  • Solid visualization and UX design skills.
  • Knowledge of data engineering, data warehousing, and data architecture.
