The Data Governance Analyst will play a crucial role in modernizing data practices within the organization. This position focuses on building relationships with business stakeholders to redefine data governance, ensuring it enables business operations rather than restricts them. The analyst will assist in developing a modern data governance framework, support data quality initiatives, and promote data literacy across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of a modern data governance framework that fosters a culture of collaboration.
• Support the establishment and monitoring of data quality metrics that are of value.
• Identify data quality issues and help create both immediate fixes and long-term solutions.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of the data catalog and data lineage documentation.
• Provide support and insights on data governance best practices and tools.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to support data governance initiatives and projects.
• Help ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
• Be an active participant in driving data adoption and literacy across the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience with a variety of data governance tools, platforms, and frameworks.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related business degree.
• Bonus points for any data governance studies or certifications.
