About the position

The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Enterprise Data Management Policy. This role involves collaborating with various business and technical partners to collect business metadata and artifacts that support Data Quality Control Assessment and preventative controls. The analyst will work closely with line of business partners to understand data management concepts and escalate any timeline risks to the team lead. Additionally, the analyst will partner with QA to ensure that artifacts meet Data Management Standards and will be responsible for evangelizing data governance policies to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Data Management Policy.
  • Collect business metadata and artifacts supporting Data Quality Control Assessment.
  • Work with line of business partners to understand data management concepts.
  • Escalate timeline risks to team lead that may impact deliverables.
  • Partner with QA to ensure artifacts meet Data Management Standards.
  • Organize, lead, and facilitate cross-entity Data Governance Initiatives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise within a data domain.

Requirements

  • Experience with data dictionary, lineage, and controls.
  • Understanding of data from both technical and business perspectives.
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
