About the position

The Data Governance Analyst at ASSA ABLOY plays a crucial role in defining, implementing, and sustaining a data governance framework to enhance analytics capabilities and ensure adherence to the enterprise data strategy. This position involves supporting the administration of the Collibra data governance platform and collaborating with various business areas and IT teams to establish standards for data management, ensuring high data quality and alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Data Governance Lead in implementing data governance protocols, policies, processes, and standards.
  • Support and administer the Collibra data governance platform.
  • Provide technical guidance on data connection, ingestion, and parsing into Collibra.
  • Document and enforce policies and procedures to ensure high data quality.
  • Update and enter rules, codes, and associated data into MDM and Data Governance systems.
  • Build and manage data lineage models for business processes and platform architecture.
  • Communicate regularly with the business on data quality and outstanding gaps.
  • Collaborate with teams to document Data Dictionaries and Data Models.
  • Champion and drive adoption of data governance practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of database structures and data models.
  • Demonstrated experience in documenting requirements and managing high-quality delivery.
  • Proficient in SQL with hands-on experience.
  • Object-oriented programming experience (Python or Java).
  • Experience with data governance or data management systems (Collibra, Informatica, Purview, etc.).
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (PowerBI, QlikView, Tableau) preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Second language (Spanish or Portuguese) a plus.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
