The Data Governance Analyst at Dartmouth College plays a crucial role in operationalizing and advancing the institution's data governance objectives. This position is designed for individuals who possess a strong understanding of project management practices and are focused on continuous improvement. The Data Governance Analyst will develop processes to execute data governance objectives and identify further opportunities to enhance institutional data governance and data quality. Reporting to the Associate Provost for Institutional Research, the analyst will collaborate with Information Technology and Consulting, as well as other campus constituents, to achieve institutional goals. In this role, the Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for operationalizing data governance standards, usage, and requirements with clients and stakeholders. This includes developing and implementing project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of institutional-level projects in alignment with objectives. The analyst will also collaborate with data governance leadership to enhance policies, frameworks, and strategies, while establishing mechanisms to track the impact of data governance programs and identifying areas for improvement. The position requires a proactive approach to engaging with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to stay informed about emerging trends and practices in data governance. The analyst will coordinate cross-functional improvements to data quality and lead cross-functional teams, providing guidance, support, and oversight throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for training and mentoring colleagues in data governance, developing and delivering training programs and workshops to educate stakeholders on best practices.
