About the position

The Data Governance and Data Quality Engineer will play a critical role in developing and enforcing data governance and data quality policies within the organization. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational requirements, which are vital for maintaining the integrity and reliability of data across the enterprise. The engineer will be responsible for registering and configuring business glossaries, technical metadata, lineage, workflow development, and data quality rules within the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (DIP) and Data Quality (DQ) modules. In addition to governance and quality assurance, the role involves utilizing the Collibra Integration Library to establish seamless communication and integration with the Collibra Platform instance. The engineer will design and implement custom API-based integrations around the Collibra platform using Collibra APIs, ensuring that data flows efficiently and effectively between systems. Furthermore, the engineer will build robust data integration services using Java Spring Boot API and Azure cloud services, managing Collibra platform deployments and upgrades on cloud virtual machines (VMs) to ensure high availability and performance. This position requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of best practices and policies in data governance and quality. The engineer will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that data governance frameworks are adhered to and that data quality standards are met. The role is based on-site in Manhattan three days a week, preferably from Tuesday to Thursday, allowing for collaboration with team members and stakeholders in a dynamic work environment.
