About the position

The Data Governance & Data Management role focuses on ensuring effective data governance and management practices within the organization. The position requires strong communication skills to engage with senior leadership and various lines of business, translating business requirements into technical solutions. The role involves overseeing data lineage, quality checks, and governance policies while ensuring compliance with architectural standards.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer business requirements into system, application, process, or organization designs.
• Conduct requirements analysis and develop design specifications for complex solutions.
• Advise IT and business partners on architectural impacts and compliance.
• Evaluate, approve, and reject architectural waivers for technology solutions.
• Coordinate with technology vendors and internal architects to promote industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain data lineage documentation and implement data quality checks.
• Enforce data governance policies and manage sensitive and master/reference data.

Requirements

• Strong experience in data governance and data management.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Exceptional communication skills to engage with AVPs/VPs/Directors.
• Understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of Information Assets.
• Experience in sensitive data management and master/reference data management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with tools such as Alation and BigEye.
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data governance.
