About the position

The Data Governance Engineer IV at The Standard plays a crucial role in advancing the Data and Analytics strategy across various business lines. This position focuses on ensuring effective data governance and quality practices within the Enterprise Data Governance Office. The engineer will design and maintain data quality frameworks, integrate data sources, and ensure compliance with data governance policies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold data integrity and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Data Governance and Data Quality platforms and metrics in Azure cloud, ensuring integration and functionality aligned with the Enterprise Data Strategy.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to implement and sustain a comprehensive data quality observability framework across the enterprise data platform (EDP).
• Develop and promote data quality standards and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability across business lines.
• Establish processes within Data Domains that define and enforce data quality standards, data classification, access management, metadata management, and data sharing agreements.
• Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, and technical teams to educate, implement, and sustain data governance practices aligned with business objectives.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor data quality and governance effectiveness, generating regular reports to communicate the status and progress of data quality initiatives.
• Partner with platform and business teams to ensure compliance with data governance policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance and data quality best practices.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in data governance or related field.
• High School Diploma/GED.
