The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for contributing to the directional strategy and assisting in the creation and modification of the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, as well as the Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. This position focuses on several key areas, including the identification, measurement, and reporting of data policies, ensuring compliance, and managing the performance of the data controls framework. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the issue management process and responding to regulatory and audit requirements. The ideal candidate for this position must be dynamic and flexible, capable of adapting to rapidly changing needs within the organization. They should possess the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity while effectively managing multiple responsibilities. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are essential, as the analyst will need to guide, influence, and convince various stakeholders across the organization. In this role, the analyst will partner with multiple teams to implement relevant Data Governance policies and the Data Risk and Control framework. They will provide expertise on Data Governance and Data Risk, including the design, effectiveness, performance monitoring, and self-assessment processes. The analyst will also support the development and monitoring of controls to mitigate Data Risk, oversee and analyze data-related issues, and track ownership and target dates along with associated metrics and reporting. Furthermore, they will coordinate with business lines and global functions on the enterprise Data Governance strategy rollout, including the introduction of a new Data Risk Taxonomy and changes to key risk indicators and control frameworks. The analyst will gather and synthesize metrics on existing Data Governance and Data Risk principles, policies, practices, and standards, and produce recommendations for enterprise-wide guiding principles and practices. They will also determine requirements for and prioritize the development of new enterprise-wide principles, policies, processes, and practices as needed, and develop a method for measuring the adoption of these principles and practices.
