About the position

The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst is a VP level position within Citi's Chief Data Office, responsible for leading data governance initiatives and transforming the firm's data infrastructure. This role involves strategic data analysis, development of high-performance applications, and ensuring compliance with data-related policies and standards across the organization. The position requires collaboration with business clients to identify system specifications and drive communication between business leaders and IT.

Responsibilities

• Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge to develop new techniques and improve processes.
• Coordinates and contributes to data governance initiatives and overall business objectives.
• Conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights, and makes strategic recommendations.
• Develops robust and high-performance applications for web applications.
• Designs, develops, and manages automated tests for UI components.
• Defines needs around maintainability, testability, performance, security, quality, and usability for UI platform.
• Works with Business Analysts and Customers to understand long-term program goals.
• Communicates new technologies and best practices to testers and managers.
• Mines and analyzes data from banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality.
• Uses SQL skills to query databases and ensure data integrity.
• Delivers analytics initiatives to address business problems and establishes project plans.
• Consults with business clients to identify system functional specifications.
• Leads system change processes from requirements through implementation.
• Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex projects.
• Impacts the business by ensuring quality of work provided by self and others.
• Considers business implications of technology applications and identifies risks.
• Drives communication between business leaders and IT.

Requirements

• 7+ years' experience using Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Cognos, Microstrategy, Excel, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in leading all phases of diverse technology projects.
• Strong programming background to create custom data insights and visualization solutions.
• Good working experience with Tableau and Angular development.
• Ability to drive insight by designing visualizations with logical data flow.
• Strong analytics experience and ability to support Tableau software and systems.
• Experience in agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
• Knowledge in RDBMS and NoSQL technologies.
• Business Intelligence and Data Analytics experience.
• Prior financial services or banking experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with content & security administration.
• Good to have experience with Angular.JS 5 Development and React.JS Development.
• Exposure to Microservices Architectures best practices.
• Experience with Java Spring Boot Framework, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Automation experience with tools such as Appian.
