As a Data Governance Implementation Lead at BNY Mellon, you will play a pivotal role in leading the implementation of a robust Data Governance framework that is essential for driving significant business value. This position is situated within the Risk and Finance Divisional Data Office team, and you will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment from either Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the data quality of critical data assets by ensuring compliance with established policies and implementing effective data quality monitoring and issue remediation processes. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various Data Leaders and Stewards across BNY Mellon to ensure that the Data Governance Operating Model is effectively implemented. This model is designed to uphold the quality, integrity, and governance of critical data assets within the Risk and Finance organization. You will work with stakeholders to promote data management sustainability and excellence, identifying critical data assets, defining data quality requirements, and establishing data lineage. Additionally, you will engage with data management teams, including data architecture, data engineering, and metadata management, to ensure alignment with enterprise data management policies and standards. As a subject matter expert on the Data Governance Operating Model, you will provide guidance and support to stakeholders, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the organization meets regulatory requirements such as BCBS 239 and GDPR. Your success in this role will be driven by your hands-on experience in Data and Metadata Management, your strong stakeholder management skills, and your ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. You will be expected to leverage your analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data issues and drive effective solutions, while also inspiring and leading your team to achieve their goals.
