About the position

The Data Governance Lead for Sales Operations at Amazon will spearhead the establishment of a new data management and governance function within the Worldwide Public Sector sales organization. This role is pivotal in creating standard business governance processes for managing key customer data sets, ensuring high-quality data outputs, and implementing scalable standards for cross-organizational programs. The individual will take ownership of existing programs and drive new initiatives from inception to execution, focusing on analytical projects that support business planning decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process reengineering efforts around data management and governance
  • Lead implementation of data standardization and hygiene programs
  • Develop innovative approaches to delivering operational solutions that scale
  • Develop reporting requirements and perform analysis on various areas of the business, working both individually and with internal analysts
  • Assist with analytical projects focused on deep insights that enable business planning decisions

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
  • Experience in business-process design or equivalent

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
