About the position

The Data Governance Program Manager at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is responsible for leading the development and ongoing adoption of the organization's data governance framework. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of governance policies, master data requirements, and both business and technical aspects of data usage. The manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, stewardship, and accountability of the organization's data assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the development of the data governance framework.
• Ensure uniformity and accuracy of the organization's data assets.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and Line of Service leaders.
• Implement enterprise data concepts such as Master Data Management and Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Design and develop data governance technology solutions.
• Establish roles, responsibilities, and success metrics for data governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in technology or business-related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience with a data governance platform.
• 2+ years of experience in designing and developing data governance technology solutions.
• High level of understanding of data governance operating models.
• Experience with Master Data Management and Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Understanding of compliance areas, data privacy, and security standards.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management skills.

• Experience with cloud data platforms.
