About the position

The Manager, Data Governance at Panda Restaurant Group is responsible for overseeing the management and retention of company information. This role involves interfacing with various departments to establish business requirements for data governance, implementing retention policies, and ensuring compliance with information classification standards. The position also includes managing associates, contractors, and vendors to drive data governance initiatives and conducting training on data security and governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage associates, contractors, and vendors to implement data governance initiatives and retention policies.
• Interface with all departments to determine business requirements for securing, retaining, and deleting information.
• Set up systems to destroy information at a prescribed timeframe based on information retention policies.
• Write the general records retention policy for each department and prepare their information classification policy.
• Develop technologies that create automated systems for identifying where data exists and managing the data based on its sensitivity.
• Select the most appropriate and best technology for data governance.
• Perform Change Management and Incident Response functions with the Cybersecurity Team.
• Conduct training and education on Data Governance and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum five years of IS or related experience.
• CDMP preferred.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
• IT Security certification preferred.
• Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
• Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
