About the position

The Data Governance Manager at Relias LLC is a strategic role focused on leading the data governance function to enhance the Relias Platform and the Relias Intelligence Hub. This position is responsible for ensuring high data quality, compliance with industry regulations, and the implementation of effective data management policies. The role requires collaboration with engineering and product teams to drive improvements and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that supports the Relias Platform's development.
  • Establish and enforce data management policies that align with platform needs, business goals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with technical teams to standardize data models across the platform.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional teams to integrate data governance practices into platform workflows.
  • Implement tools and processes to monitor and report on data quality within the platform.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the impact of data governance initiatives on platform performance.
  • Facilitate secure, self-service access to governed data on the platform.
  • Ensure platform data practices comply with relevant regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
  • Experience defining and managing data models and metadata for consistent usage across systems.
  • Proficiency in establishing and monitoring data quality KPIs, with experience in implementing tools to track data integrity.
  • Experience with data governance technologies, including data catalogs, lineage tracking, and quality monitoring platforms.
  • Knowledge of enabling secure self-service access to governed data while maintaining compliance.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with a proven track record of implementing governance frameworks and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree.
