About The Position
The Data Governance Officer at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is responsible for developing and guiding the overarching strategy and principles of data governance, including data quality, classification, governance, and interoperability. This role involves short-term and long-term planning and continuous improvement efforts related to data management, ensuring that the department's investments in data are maximized and risks are mitigated. The officer will support the WisDOT Data Governance Board and chair the WisDOT Data Governance Council, collaborating with leaders and subject matter experts to develop policies and procedures for data management.
