About the position

The Data Governance Platform Developer will play a crucial role in the Voyager implementation project, focusing on designing, developing, and implementing technical integration and automation solutions to extract metadata from various source systems. This position requires collaboration with the data governance team and external vendors to ensure effective data governance practices are established and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Implement technical solutions in Collibra, including data catalog and application integrations.
  • Gather requirements, perform scoping and discovery, and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Develop integrations using REST APIs to extract metadata from Oracle and other source systems.
  • Work closely with Deloitte partners and internal teams to understand data extraction methods and ensure alignment with existing implementations.
  • Coordinate with vendors on issues and feature requests, staying up to date on new Collibra features and products, including Java and REST APIs.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of programming experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience in enterprise software application development.
  • Experience with Groovy programming, REST API development, and Python programming.
  • Preferred experience with Collibra development or similar data governance software.
  • Experience with Flowable or similar workflow automation tools.
  • Experience in data quality and reference data management.
  • Experience with GitHub or similar version control systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

  • Clear understanding of the assigned functional area and the data being managed, including its implications downstream to other systems, processes, and applications.
  • Knowledge of the business rules for the relevant functional areas.
  • Excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills.
