About the position

SAIC is seeking a Data Governance Policy Principal to support the Prime Program Landmark AOS in Chantilly, VA. This role is critical for assisting the information/data governance team in developing and executing a comprehensive data governance framework, policy, and standards. The position focuses on improving data quality and protecting sensitive data within the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of an enterprise-wide data governance framework.
• Focus on improvement of data quality and protection of sensitive data.
• Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance.
• Serve as a liaison between functional technology areas for data-related business requirements.
• Develop and maintain an inventory of enterprise information maps.
• Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality and protection standards.
• Define indicators of performance and quality metrics for compliance with data policies.
• Establish and ensure adherence to an enterprise data governance framework.
• Govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap.
• Provide progress reports to government management and updates to the data governance roadmap.
• Provide technical leadership to individual engineers regarding data governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with nine (9) years of experience; Master's with seven (7) years; PhD or JD with four (4) years; relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• 6+ years' experience with IC, DoD, and/or commercial space architectures and large-scale data management.
• 3+ years' experience with data quality and data protection management practices.
• Knowledge of data governance practices and issues related to management of enterprise information assets.
• Demonstrated consulting skills and change management strategies.
• Knowledge of risk data architectures and data-related government regulatory requirements.
