About the position

Infosys is seeking a Data Governance Senior Consultant who will play a pivotal role in leading and facilitating the data governance program for our clients. This position involves a comprehensive approach to data governance, including metadata management, data cataloging, data quality assurance, and the definition and implementation of processes and workflows across various verticals. In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their data governance needs and help them implement effective strategies to manage their data assets. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated APIs and ETL pipelines that support data governance tools, leveraging your expertise in SQL, data warehousing, and ETL concepts. Your experience in tactical implementation of data governance and data privacy will be crucial in ensuring that our clients meet their compliance and regulatory requirements. As a Data Governance Senior Consultant, you will also be expected to conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as necessary. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders, including business and technology teams, to drive successful outcomes. This position may require travel within the US, and candidates must be located within commuting distance of Raleigh, NC, or Richmond, VA, or be willing to relocate to these areas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate the data governance program for clients.
  • Implement metadata management and data cataloging processes.
  • Ensure data quality through defined processes and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain automated APIs and ETL pipelines that support data governance tools.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as required.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to drive data governance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in SQL, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.
  • At least 2 years of experience in tactical implementation of data governance and data privacy.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Quality tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic understanding of programming languages like Python and Java.
  • Expert knowledge of Data Governance Processes, Policies & Framework.
  • Experience in conducting unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
  • Certifications in any data governance tool like Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.
  • Good understanding of data integration, data quality, and data architecture.
  • Experience in relational modeling, dimensional modeling, and modeling of unstructured data.
