About the position

The Data Governance Specialist role is a full-time position based in Cleveland, OH, requiring onsite presence. This position is critical for ensuring the integrity, quality, and compliance of data across the organization. The specialist will be responsible for implementing and managing data governance frameworks, particularly utilizing Collibra's tools and features. The role involves working closely with various stakeholders to establish data governance policies and procedures that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. In this position, the Data Governance Specialist will leverage their expertise in Collibra to implement use cases that enhance data management processes. This includes managing MDI (Master Data Integration) and MDE (Master Data Environment) workflows, as well as developing metadata scanning and data quality rules for key data elements. The specialist will also be tasked with creating business lineage workflows and custom lineage to ensure transparency and traceability of data across systems. A significant aspect of this role involves ensuring privacy and compliance with data regulations. The specialist will implement business term tagging and develop privacy and security policies, including data redaction strategies. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating data governance risks, ensuring that the organization adheres to best practices in data management and compliance.

Responsibilities
