About the position

The Data Governance and Strategy Lead at BLEND360 is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and executing the company's data governance framework and strategy. This position focuses on ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements while driving data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Master Data Management (MDM) and will engage clients to articulate the value of data quality in enabling AI applications and trustworthy metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that supports the organization's strategic objectives and client engagements.
  • Define and enforce data policies, standards, and processes to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance across all projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, to establish data governance practices that enhance data quality and trust in the data.
  • Lead the design and implementation of data governance processes to facilitate efficient data management and decision-making.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data governance and strategy, providing guidance and mentorship to internal teams and clients.
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives through white papers, blogs, speaking engagements, and participation in industry events to promote the firm's expertise in AI and data governance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to data governance and AI, integrating these insights into our service offerings and client solutions.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop data governance service offerings, support proposal development, and contribute to client presentations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role focused on MDM, data governance, strategy development, and quality within a consulting or technology-driven organization.
  • Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and best practices in master data management.
  • Strong technical background in data architecture, data quality management, and data privacy principles.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
