In this role, you will be responsible for developing tool solution architecture tailored to the client’s environment and tools. You will work closely with the Data Governance team to develop and review requirements that align with the overarching data governance program and vision. Your responsibilities will include managing the implementation timeline, creating status reports, and identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. You will also be tasked with creating comprehensive documentation based on client needs and developing presentations to support executive communication and agency alignment. Your role will involve driving the implementation of tools in accordance with data mesh and data fabric concepts, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify and prioritize mission-critical data sources, and collecting documentation such as data dictionaries to provide context to scanned data assets. Additionally, you will configure both manual and automated lineage where applicable and lead a pilot for Informatica Axon to demonstrate its key functionalities. Supporting the onboarding of users will also be a critical aspect of your responsibilities, ensuring that all team members are equipped to utilize the tools effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tool solution architecture in the context of the client environment and tools
  • Develop and review requirements in alignment with data governance program and vision
  • Develop and manage implementation timeline and develop status reports
  • Identify, track, communicate and mitigate risks and issues
  • Create all required documentation based on client needs
  • Develop necessary presentations/materials to support executive communication and agency alignment
  • Drive implementation of tools in alignment with data mesh and data fabric concepts
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with Data Governance team members focused on operationalizing data governance
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to identify and prioritize mission-critical CDER data sources including databases, ETL tools, dashboards, or other data asset types
  • Collect available documentation such as data dictionaries to add context to scanned data assets
  • Configure manual lineage and automated lineage where applicable
  • Drive pilot for Informatica Axon demonstrating key functionality
  • Support onboarding of users

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience with data management, data lakes, data warehouses and specifically DataBricks
  • Experience providing support as needed for data governance operations, ad-hoc analysis, etc
  • Experience with Informatica Tools Suite (EDC, Axon, IDQ)
  • Data Management, and/or Data Governance Solution Architecture
