About the position

The Data Governance Training Specialist is responsible for creating and delivering training content related to data governance and management. This role focuses on enhancing knowledge sharing and data literacy within the organization, particularly in the context of U.S. government IT services. The specialist will work closely with various data governance tools and frameworks to support the company's mission of providing high-quality IT services to government clients.

Responsibilities

• Create training content and knowledge sharing resources on data-related topics such as business intelligence tools, data literacy, data visualization, and data governance tools.
• Deliver live training sessions, both virtually and in-person.
• Assist in the configuration and management of metadata management tools like Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, and Informatica.
• Assist in the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Support the configuration and maintenance of enterprise metadata templates, including data dictionaries and business glossaries.
• Support the customer's content strategy and knowledge management efforts.

Requirements

• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience with data governance.
• Experience designing training content and resources in disciplines such as data visualization, data analysis, data science, or data governance.
• Experience working with data governance concepts, data quality management, and data stewardship.
• Experience providing direct customer support, including responding to inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
• Experience in content strategy and/or knowledge management.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (preferred).
