About the position

The Data Information Analyst position at Spokane County involves performing technical and analytical work related to the information systems of the Community Services Department (CSD). The role focuses on the development, maintenance, administration, and evaluation of these systems to ensure they meet departmental objectives. The analyst will work under the direction of the Healthcare Information & Systems Management Supervisor and collaborate with both departmental and contractor staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data processing projects are prioritized, timely, and accurate.
  • Monitor the information systems for quality, consistency, and accuracy of data input and output.
  • Write and generate reports for review by CSD leadership for effective management of utilization and performance measurements and goals.
  • Document electronic data information specifications and maintain information flow charts.
  • Maintain up-to-date master client index flow charts, data entry processes, and reporting systems for CSD.
  • Participate in programmatic committees and meetings with leadership staff to ensure data systems meet treatment program objectives.
  • Facilitate the Information System Committee for mental health providers.
  • Determine data needs and changes/updates to information systems.
  • Assist with system configuration, programming, and data changes.
  • Maintain information services policies and procedures for CSD and provider treatment agencies.
  • Monitor provider treatment agencies for disaster recovery and clinical encounters based on contracts and requirements.
  • Evaluate network service outages and ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist, train, and serve as an escalation point for lower classification employees.
  • Analyze and resolve technical problems and questions.
  • Provide cost estimates for new computer systems and upgrades.
  • Act as CSD liaison to ISD for network and systems issues and HELP Desk requests.
  • Assist Data Quality Technicians to provide timely and accurate information to providers.
  • Monitor backup and recovery processes for business operations restoration.
  • Develop and manage project plans and data reporting based on requests from CSD leadership or external contractors.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in data analysis or related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in information systems or data management.
  • Knowledge of current working technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of project management and data quality control techniques.
  • Ability to analyze and monitor complex computer systems and develop effective solutions.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication and problem-solving.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with healthcare information systems.
  • Familiarity with federal and state contracts and requirements.
  • Ability to establish and develop positive work relationships with various stakeholders.
