About the position

The Platform Architect will be pivotal in developing and maintaining the company's core enterprise data and machine learning platform, facilitating the digital transformation journey using AWS technologies. This role demands a self-driven individual who excels in collaborative settings, offering insights on architectural best practices while balancing individual analytics and machine learning projects with overarching enterprise architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Build and support the enterprise data and machine learning platform.
• Provide guidance on best practice architectural patterns.
• Balance individual data analytics and machine learning use cases with enterprise architecture principles.
• Develop architecture plans aligned with business strategy.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines in AWS.
• Oversee complex system integration projects within a cloud-based architecture.
• Ensure observability practices and tools are in place.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Over 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and team supervision capacity.
• Exceptional communication skills to simplify complex concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
• Proficient in AWS and modern architectural paradigms like microservices.
• Experience with API gateways and cloud-based system integration.
• Knowledge of AI and modern data architectures.
• Experience with data and machine learning platforms, preferably Databricks.
• Strong understanding of Python, YAML/Terraform, and Microservices Architecture.
• Proven experience in creating and implementing CI/CD pipelines in AWS.
• Familiarity with Docker and container technologies.
• Strong grasp of SQL databases, data lakes, and warehouse architecture.
• Experience with source control tools like GitHub or Bit Bucket.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker EE.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with observability practices and tools.
• Knowledge of digital transformation best practices, especially with AWS.
