About the position

Anrok is seeking an experienced data engineer to lead the development of a new data products pillar, which is a critical extension of their platform. This role involves designing and building data pipelines, interfacing with customers to understand their needs, and establishing infrastructure for data-driven decision-making. The position offers the opportunity to influence product direction and team building within a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and scale data pipelines for customer integration with data warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery.
• Interface directly with customers to design data primitives that meet current and future user needs.
• Transform transactional data and implement version control for first-party ETL from Anrok.
• Establish infrastructure to enable data-driven decision-making.
• Help customers ingest and reconcile data across invoicing, payment, and bank accounts by building reconciliation features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a product-minded data engineer.
• Experience in user interaction and synthesizing user needs.
• Deep understanding of data platforms and building for scale.
• Ability to articulate design tradeoffs considering current and future needs, technical debt, and maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with LLM-powered reconciliation features.
• Familiarity with various billing and payment systems.
